Celebrating the full supermoon can be a wonderful experience! Here are a few ideas to help you align with the moon’s energy and celebrate this special lunar phase as a yogi:

Practice a gentle moon salutation (Chandra Namaskar) sequence under the moonlight if possible. Moon salutations are slower and more meditative than sun salutations, ideal for honoring the calming, reflective energy of the full moon.

Consider ending your practice with restorative poses like Supta Baddha Konasana (Reclining Bound Angle) or Viparita Karani (Legs-Up-the-Wall Pose) to relax and integrate the moon’s energy.

Find a quiet spot, either outside under the moon or indoors near a window with a view of the moon.

Close your eyes, visualize the moon’s glow, and set an intention for release—letting go of any emotions, habits, or attachments that no longer serve you.

Practice Chandra Bhedana (Left-Nostril Breathing) to enhance your connection with the moon’s calming energy.

Write down things you’re grateful for and place the list in the moonlight to infuse it with lunar energy.

If you have a safe place outdoors, sit quietly with your gratitude list and a candle. Spend time reflecting on the blessings in your life and invite the moon’s energy to amplify these positive intentions.

Spend time journaling under the moon, exploring what you’re ready to release and what you’d like to manifest moving forward.

If you work with crystals, place them outside or on a windowsill where they can soak up the moon’s energy. Crystals like moonstone, clear quartz, or selenite resonate well with the moon.

•After cleansing, hold the crystals and set an intention, letting the full moon amplify the energy you wish to bring into your life.

Create a “moon water” jar by placing a glass of water under the moonlight overnight. In the morning, you can use the water for rituals, water your plants, or simply drink it with the intention of absorbing the moon’s energy.

As you drink, reflect on what you want to embody with this new energy—whether it’s calmness, clarity, or resilience.

If possible, invite others to join you in a moon circle for a guided meditation, gentle yoga, chanting, or simply to share intentions for the next lunar cycle.
